Offered here is a baseball signed by “The Say Hey Kid” Willie Mays, and inscribed with many of the statistics and accolades he accumulated over his 22-year career. Among the awards he lists are “A.S. MVP 63-68”, indicating his All Star Game Most Valuable Player awards in 1963 and 1968, and “MVP 54-65” for his regular season MVP awards. Mays also writes “ROY 51” to commemorate his 1951 Rookie of the Year Award. He also notes, to the right of his signature “H.O.F 79”, “660 HR”, and “12 Gold Gloves”. Additionally, Mays notes his career hit total in the note “3283 Hits”, his RBI total “1903 RBI”, and career games played “2992 Games”. Directly above the 2992 note he writes “Say Hey”.
