Washington Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer was on quite a run during the month of June in his first season in the Nation’s Capitol. On June 14th, Scherzer mowed down the Milwaukee Brewers with 16 strikeouts in a one-hit shutout and then followed up that performance by no-hitting the Pittsburgh Pirates on June 20th. During his next start in Philadelphia, Scherzer was looking to become the second pitcher since Johnny Vander Meer to pitch consecutive no-hitters, when he got through five no-hit innings. Phillies shortstop Freddy Galvis hit a one-out double in the bottom of the sixth inning to break up the no-hit bid, but Scherzer maintained his dominance to get the victory, which was the 100th of his career.

This Majestic Cool Base size 48 Washington Nationals button-down road jersey was worn by Scherzer when he earned his 100th career victory over the Phillies on June 26, 2015 at Citizens Bank Park. This gray jersey features “Washington” sewn on the front in cursive script in red, navy blue and white tackle twill with a paraph along with his number “31”. The Majestic tag and team bar code tag which reads “31 48 2015 239” are screen printed on the bottom front tail. The back of the jersey has “SCHERZER” and “31” sewn on in red, navy blue and white tackle twill. The collar and each sleeve end has a red/navy blue/red piping pattern with the right sleeve having a “NATIONALS BASEBALL 10 YEARS 2005-2015”patch and the left sleeve having the Nationals logo patch. This jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 067135), which authenticates this jersey’s specific use to the June 26th game where Scherzer picked up his 100th career victory.
