New York Yankees first baseman Tino Martinez had the unenviable task of trying to follow in the footsteps of one of the most beloved Yankees of all time Don Mattingly. Martinez won over the Yankee faithful with his stellar defense and clutch hitting as he was a key member of the late 1990s teams that won four World Series titles in five seasons.
Offered is the Spring Training jersey worn by Martinez in 2000. This Majestic size XL pullover navy blue mesh jersey has two-buttons on the top and the interlocking “NY” sewn on the upper left chest in white tackle twill. Each sleeve has a ribbed material on the end in a white and blue stripe pattern. The back of the jersey has Martinez’s number “24” sewn on in white tackle twill. The red, white and blue MLB logo patch is sewn on the upper neck. The Majestic tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail and this jersey shows moderate use with some loose threads on the sewn on letters and numbers. This jersey comes with a full LOA from Steiner Sports.
