Red Schoendienst spent his early career turning the St. Louis Cardinals into perennial pennant winners and then in 1957 joined the Milwaukee Braves as they won two pennants and World Championship. According to factory records, Red ordered bats matching this style in October 1958 to use in the World Series. Schoendienst hit .300 in the Series and came down with tuberculosis the following season and only appeared in five games. This Hillerich & Bradsby S210 model bat is un-cracked and shows light use. A few ball marks are visible on the barrel and the model number “S210” is stamped into the knob. “BJ2” is hand written on the knob in black ink and Schoendienst has signed the barrel in black marker adding “HOF 89”. This is a great Hall of Fame gamer with probable World Series use that comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B11205) for the game use and a COA from PSA/DNA (AB74905) for his signature.
