No one was better with a bat in 1922 than George Sisler. The St. Louis Browns first baseman led the American League in hits, triples, runs, stolen bases and his .420 average looks like a misprint to modern eyes. No one was surprised when he was named that years MVP. This Hillerich & Bradsby model S56 bat dates to the 1922 season when George Sisler ruled baseball.

This bat is un-cracked and shows moderate use. Several ball marks with stitch impressions and black ink transfers can be seen on the barrel. PSA/DNA has determined that the center brand style can date this bat to the years 1922-1923. The bat’s length of 35 inches and weight of 37 ounces falls within the specs for the style in Sisler’s factory records dubbed “His Small Sisler”. A great bat used during one of the greatest single seasons in the history of the game and it comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B10683).
