Offered is this unique pair of New York Mets uniforms from former pitcher Ron Darling and former manager Davey Johnson. These particular uniform sets (jersey and pants) were worn during St. Patrick’s Day in 1990 during spring training. Ron Darling’s uniform set features a size 44 Kelly green pullover made of heavy mesh material manufactured by Rawlings. The jersey has a ribbed white, green and orange striping that runs from the collar down to the sleeve ends. The jerseys have “Mets” sewn across the chest in orange and white tackle twill. Darling’s number “15” is sewn on the front below the “Mets” and on the back in orange and white tackle twill. The red Rawlings tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail and Darling signed his name in black marker vertically on the “1” on the back of the jersey. Darling’s pants were made by Rawlings and are white with Kelly green pinstripes and a thick orange stripe outlined in orange down each side. Darling’s pants have a 35-inch waist and the team patch sewn on the inner back waist lining that reads “15 DARLING 90 1 35/36 33”. The pants show light use and are in great condition.

      The second uniform set in this lot is from former manager Davey Johnson. Johnson’s Kelly green pullover jersey is a size 46 and his number “5” is sewn on in the orange and white tackle on the front and back of the jersey. The white Rawlings tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail and Johnson signed his jerseys on his number in black marker on the back. Johnson’s matching pants were made by Rawlings and are white with Kelly green pinstripes and a thick orange stripe outlined in orange down each side. Johnson’s pants are a waist size 37 and the team patch sewn on the inner back waist lining reads “5 JOHNSON D 90 1 37 27”. The pants show light use and are in great condition. The signatures on the jerseys have been pre-certified by PSA/DNA and both jerseys and pants sets come with individual LOAs (1 for each player) from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
