      Offered in this lot is a collection of four game issued and game used New York Mets alternate black jerseys.

      David Cone, who began his career with the Mets, returned to the organization in 2003 to close out his career, pitching in five games. This jersey was issued to Cone for the 2003 season. This size 46 Majestic button-down black jersey features “Mets” across the front in blue, white and orange tackle twill. Blue piping are on the sleeves and run along the collar and down both sides of the buttons. Cone’s number “16” is sewn on the front and back in blue, white and orange tackle twill and “CONE” is sewn on the back above his number in the same color pattern. Cone signed his name in silver marker vertically on the “1” of his back number. The MLB logo patch is sewn on the back neck above the piping in blue, white and orange. The left sleeve has the Mets Cityscape logo patch sewn on and the Majestic tag with the “46” and “set E 2003” flags have been sewn on the inside front left tail.

      Former catcher/infielder Todd Zeile spent his second stint with the New York Mets in 2004. This jersey was issued to Zeile for the 2004 season. This size 50 Majestic button-down black jersey features “Mets” across the front in blue, white and orange tackle twill. Blue piping are on the sleeves and run along the collar and down both sides of the buttons. Zeile’s number “27” is sewn on the front and back in blue, white and orange tackle twill and “ZEILE” is sewn on the back above his number in the same color pattern. The MLB logo patch is sewn on the back neck above the piping in blue, white and orange. The left sleeve has the Mets Cityscape logo patch sewn on and “BOB MURPHY” embroidered in white arched over the patch in honor of the late Mets radio announcer. The right sleeve has a “SHEA STADIUM 40th ANNIVERSARY 1964-2004” blue and orange square patch and “Ya Gotta Believe” Tug embroidered in white below the patch in honor Tug McGraw. The Majestic tag with the “50” and “set E 2004” flags have been sewn on the inside front left tail.

      Former New York Met Carlos Delgado collected his 2,000th career hit during the September 21, 2008 game at Turner Field in Atlanta as the Mets defeated the Braves 8-7. Delgado went 4-5 during the game and hit his 37th home run of the season during the victory and wore this size 54 Majestic button-down black alternate jersey during the game. The Cool Base jersey features “NEW YORK” across the front in blue, white and orange tackle twill. Blue piping are on the sleeves and run along the collar and down both sides of the buttons. Delgado’s number “21” is sewn on the front and back in blue, white and orange tackle twill and “DELGADO” is sewn on the back above his number in the same color pattern. The MLB logo patch is sewn on the back neck above the piping in blue, white and orange. The Majestic tag is screen printed on the inside front left tail and this jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (LH 306012) which dates this jersey to the specific September 21st game and a COA from the New York Mets.

      Former slugger and 500 Home Run Club member Gary Sheffield spent his last season with the Mets in 2009 and wore this size 50 Majestic button-down black alternate jersey during the first game of a double-header in Philadelphia on September 13th. The Cool Base jersey features “Mets” across the front in blue, white and orange tackle twill. Blue piping are on the sleeves and run along the collar and down both sides of the buttons. Sheffield’s number “10” is sewn on the front and back in blue, white and orange tackle twill and “SHEFFIELD” is sewn on the back above his number in the same color pattern. The MLB logo patch is sewn on the back neck above the piping in blue, white and orange. The Majestic tag is screen printed on the front left tail and this jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (LH 454436) which dates this jersey to the specific September 13th game and a New York Mets COA. Sheffield signed his name vertically on the “1” on the back of the jersey and inscribed “500 HR SEASON” vertically on the “0”. The Cone and Zeile jerseys come with individual LOAs from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema. The Delgado and Sheffield jerseys come with MLB Authenticated holograms and New York Mets COAs and the signatures of Cone and Sheffield have been pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
