Offered in this lot are four game used jerseys from the 1980s featuring New York Mets players. The first jersey from Keith Miller, who wore this size 42 Rawlings pullover Mets home white with blue pinstripe jersey during the 1987 season. This jersey has an off-white color and features “Mets” sewn on across the chest in blue and orange tackle twill. Miller’s number “25” is sewn on the center front right and back of the jersey. “MILLER” is sewn on directly to the back of the jersey above his number and each sleeve has a ribbed blue stripe, bordered in orange, running from the collar to the end of the sleeve and down both sides. The Rawlings tag and “SET 1 1987” flag, along with a patch that reads “87 1 25” and a “GERRY COSBY” patch are sewn on the inside front left tail. The jersey shows moderate use with some staining and discoloration.
The next jersey is also from the 1987 season and is from Mark Carreon. This size 42 Rawlings pullover Mets home white with blue pinstripe jersey features “Mets” sewn on across the chest in blue and orange tackle twill. Carreon’s number “32” is sewn on the center front right and back of the jersey. “CARREON” is sewn on directly to the back of the jersey above his number and each sleeve has a ribbed blue stripe, bordered in orange, running from the collar to the end of the sleeve and down both sides. The Rawlings tag and along with a patch that reads “87 2 32” are sewn on the inside front left tail. The jersey shows light use as Carreon was a September call-up who appeared in nine games.
Also included in this lot is the 1988 jersey worn by Bob McClure. This size 44 Rawlings pullover Mets home white with blue pinstripe jersey features “Mets” sewn on across the chest in blue and orange tackle twill. McClure’s number “27” is sewn on the center front right and back of the jersey. “McClure” is sewn on directly to the back of the jersey above his number and each sleeve has a ribbed blue stripe, bordered in orange, running from the collar to the end of the sleeve and down both sides. The Rawlings tag and along with a patch that reads “88 2 27” are sewn on the inside front left tail. The jersey shows moderate game use.
The final jersey in this lot is the 1988 jersey of David West. This size 46 Rawlings pullover Mets home white with blue pinstripe jersey features “Mets” sewn on across the chest in blue and orange tackle twill. West’s number “46” is sewn on the center front right and back of the jersey. “WEST” is sewn on directly to the back of the jersey above his number and each sleeve has a ribbed blue stripe, bordered in orange, running from the collar to the end of the sleeve and down both sides. The Rawlings tag, along with a patch that reads “88 2 46” and a “SET 2 1988” flag are sewn on the inside front left tail. The jersey shows light game use.
