Offered in this lot are two jerseys worn by the last two New York Mets managers that have led them to World Series’ appearances. Bobby Valentine managed the New York Mets from 1996 – 2002, and won the National League in 2000. Valentine wore this Mets button-down road gray jersey during the 1997 season. This size 46 AIS jersey features “NEW YORK” across the chest in blue and orange tackle twill with his number “2” sewn on in the same color pattern on the center left chest. “VALENTINE” and his number “2” are sewn directly to the back of the jersey and blue piping is on each sleeve and runs along the collar and down both sides of the buttons. The left sleeve has the Mets cityscape logo patch and the right sleeve has the “Jackie Robinson 50th Anniversary” patch. The black AIS manufacturer’s tag with the “46” flag are sewn on the inside center back tail. Valentine signed his name in blue pen below his number on the back of the jersey. Valentine’s signature has been pre-certified by PSA/DNA and also comes with a full LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.

      Terry Collins, the current Mets manager, wore this alternate blue Mets button-down jersey during Game 5 of the 2015 World Series at Citi Field. This size 44 Majestic Cool Base jersey features “Mets” sewn on across the chest in orange and white tackle twill with his number “10” sewn on below o the center left chest. “COLLINS” and his number “10” have been sewn on in the back of the jersey and orange piping is on the sleeves and around the collar and down both sides of the buttons. The MLB logo patch is sewn on the upper back neck. The left sleeve has the “Mr. Met” logo patch sewn on while the right sleeve has the vinyl “2015 World Series” logo patch sewn on. Collins signed his name in black marker vertically o the “0” of the 10 on the back of the jersey and inscribed “10”. The Majestic tag is screen printed on the bottom front tail, along with the Mets Majestic bar code tag that reads “10 44-2B 2015 WS1”. This jersey comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 038121) and a LOA from the New York Mets.
