Former St. Louis Cardinals pitcher John Lackey wore this ivory-colored Cardinals home alternate jersey during the August 15, 2015 game against the Miami Marlins. Lackey pitched 8 1/3 innings, allowing only two earned runs in the Cardinals’ 6-2 victory and striking out six batters. This jersey features “St. Louis” sewn on in cursive script in smooth chenille, with the two cardinals perched on the ends of a yellow bat. Lackey’s number “41” is sewn on the center left chest in red and navy blue tackle twill. “LACKEY” is embroidered in red cursive on the front right tail and an “Oscar Tavares” memorial patch on the left sleeve. “LACKEY” and his number “41” are sewn on the back of the jersey in red and navy blue tackle twill and the jersey also features red piping around the collar and down both sides of the buttons. The Majestic Cool Base manufacturer’s tag on the front left tail denotes size “50”, and the barcode ID tag reads “50 +2B +2S 2015 S2.” The jersey exhibits light wear, and comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 946088) that indicates this jersey was used by Lackey during the August 15th game against the Marlins.
