The 1986 Mets remain one of the most intimidating teams in baseball history. With a pitching staff that included strikeout machine Doc Gooden throwing to Hall of Fame catcher Gary Carter, the Mets ran away with the National League East title by 211/2 games over the Philadelphia Phillies. Supported by Darryl Strawberry’s 27 home runs, the Mets won 108 games that season, the most in the Majors. They went on to claim victory in the World Series, helped in no small part by the miscue of Boston’s Bill Buckner.

Offered here is a Doc Gooden home jersey signed by the members of the 1986 Mets. Featuring the signatures of Gooden, Strawberry, Carter, Keith Hernandez, Lenny Dykstra, Ron Darling, Wally Backman, Mookie Wilson, Rodger McDowell, George Foster, and others, this 2XL Mitchell & Ness authentic jersey is signed on the front, below the Mets wordmark and Gooden’s number 16, in blue Sharpie. This Mets jersey is a piece of their last World Series championship and a memento of Flushing’s finest moment. This item comes with a Sticker only from PSA/DNA (P14970).
