The players pictured are Nolan Ryan, Roger Clemens, Steve Carlton, Burt Blyleven, Tom Seaver, Don Sutton, Gaylord Perry, Phil Niekro, Ferguson Jenkins, and Bob Gibson. This picture was completed before Randy Johnson, Greg Maddux, Pedro Martinez, Curt Schilling, and John Smoltz reached their 3,000th strikeout.
