Offered here is a citation issued to Floyd Little by the Colorado chapter of The American Jewish Committee Appeal for Human Relations. Little, a Hall of Fame running back for the Denver Broncos, rushed for 6,323 yards and 43 touchdowns in his nine year career. The Syracuse product made five Pro Bowls and was first team All-Pro in 1969. This certificate was issued to little in recognition of his “dedicated leadership to secure the well-being of young people of our community, and for promoting the cause of human rights for all.” This 12x9 inch citation was awarded to Little in 1974 amid his penultimate NFL season. Also included with this item is a 7x8 inch newspaper photograph of Little meeting two members of the American Jewish Committee, Mrs. Max Rifkin and Maynard I. Wishner. Little, wearing a sharp pinstriped suit and polka-dotted tie is seen talking and laughing with Wishner and a seated Rifkin.
