Alex Rodriguez hit his 648th career home run of Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander during the second inning of the New York Yankees 5-4 victory on August 11, 2013 at Yankee Stadium. It was also –Rod’s 1,951st RBI, which took him past Hall of Famer Stan Musial on the RBI list.
Rodriguez wore this size 48 Majestic button-down pinstripe home Yankees jersey during that game. This jersey features the interlocking “NY” sewn on in navy blue tackle twill on the upper left chest. Rodriguez’s number “13” is sewn on the back in navy blue tackle twill. The Majestic tag, along with the “48” and “2012” flags are sewn on the bottom front left tail. The New York Yankees bar code tag (0000002521) is screen printed below the Majestic tag. Rodriguez signed his name in black marker below the interlocking “NY” and inscribed “Career HR #648 Career RBI 1951 Passing Stan Musial”. This jersey shows light game use with only small stains and comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 689897) which dates this jersey to the August 11th game, a Steiner Sports hologram and a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AC04028).
