This is a tremendous example of Lou Gehrig's 1935 Wheaties card. As with many of the "hand cut" issues from the era, collectors of the day weren't particularly careful when it came to cutting these cards out. Today examples of these Wheaties cards that not only have the full frame intact, but also a little extra for good measures, are pretty tough to come by; this Gehrig is just such an example. There is a full band of "extra" surrounding the full frame of the card design. This is only one of two examples to grade VG 3 by SGC with none grading higher.
