In this lot are two original chalk pieces each measuring 20 x 25 inches of Mickey Mantle. The first piece is of Mantle looking away from the viewer in his New York Yankees uniform. At the bottom of the photo is the interlocking “NY” logo and name; above the logo is a shadow illustration of Mantle in his batting stance. The second photo is of Mantle looking directly at the viewer in his white pinstripe Yankees jersey. At the bottom of this photo is the Yankees name and player number in white and navy blue. Both pieces have been done with a careful hand, and the balance between the lights and darks of the artworks provide lots of texture and depth that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
