Two-time National League MVP and seven-time all-star Dale Murphy was one of the few bright spots on the Atlanta Braves’ teams that struggled during the 1980s. Murphy wore this New Era size 7 ½ Braves cap during the 1988 season in which he hit 24 home runs and had 77 RBI. This navy blue had with a red brim has the Atlanta “A” embroidered in white on the front and Murphy’s number “3” hand written in faded black marker on the gray underside brim. The cap shows light to moderate game use with some sweat stains on the white inner sweat band. Murphy signed his name in bold black marker on the red brim and inscribed “NL MVP 82, 83”.
