Offered is a 30-card collection (25 are different) of N78 "Histories of Generals" non-sports cards issued by Duke in 1888. The functionally designed "Generals" booklets contain mini-biographies of the war's most prominent figures with, in a number of cases, entries narrated by the history makers, themselves! Far more than simple, two-dimensional collectibles, these are exceptionally scarce and significant period artifacts. Includes: Beauregard (2: one is detached), Bragg, Burnside (2: one is detached), Ewell, Farragut, Garfield, Halleck, Hancock, Hill, Hood, Hooker, Logan, Lyon, McClellan, Morgan, Pemberton (missing back cover), Pickett, Polk (2), Price (3), Rosecrans, Sedgwick, Semmes, Sheridan, Smith and Stuart. Mostly PR to GD (some slightly nicer).
