After a decade away from Boston, Hanley Ramirez returned to Red Sox for the 2015 season. Showing how good it was to be back, Ramirez hit two home runs and drove in five runs in his very first game. By the end of April he hit 10 homers, a momentum only stymied by a collision with the outfield wall that put him on the DL. Ramirez would club his 204th career home run with this Louisville Slugger HR318 model bat during Red Sox’s 4-2 victory on the June 6th game against the Oakland A’s at Fenway Park. This bat shows outstanding use with a cracked handle and there are many ball marks and ball stitch impressions on the left and back barrel. There is a heavy coat of Mota stick on the handle. A light oval mark appears on the handle which identifies the face grain of the bat, which was a mandatory marking per Major League Baseball for all maple bats since January 2009. Stamped to the knob end is “05/29/15” the date manufacture, “34.0” the length, “31.0” the weight and “VM” and “LDM”. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B06253) who have graded this gamer a GU 9 and have photo matched this exact bat to Ramirez’s 204th career home run.
