The center field position underwent a revolution after WWII. Previously a spot for a team’s best defensive outfielder, the position became reserved for players also exceptional at the plate. No three men better personified this revolution than Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, and Duke Snider. These three players combined for 10 World Series titles and were recognized as some of the greatest offensive players of any era in baseball. As a result of their accomplishments, Mantle, Mays, and Snider have all been inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Mantle signed the sweet spot of this Rawlings Brown OAL baseball in blue pen.
