Original painting by the noted sports artist Billy Lopa. An avid sports fan and die-hard Yankees fan, Lopa chose to concentrate his art in what he loved in a genre he found both challenging and enjoyable: kinetic impressionism. Working in acrylics, Lopa uses a "splatter" technique where the colors are applied with a palette knife. The use of bold colors and splatter technique captures the image and spirit of an athlete in motion. Signed and Inscribed by Steve Carlton "Cy Young 72, 77, 80, 82 329 Wins 4136 Strikeouts HOF 1994". Also signed in the lower right corner by Lopa. 40" x 54". Issue cost on a Lopa original ranges from $10,000 - $25,000 or more.
