Desmond Howard was one of the most electric football players in recent memory. A dual threat kick returner and wide receiver at the University of Michigan, Howard was a threat to score every time he touched the football. His talent was so great that he won the 1991 Heisman Trophy, propelling him to the number four overall pick in the 1992 NFL draft. Howard spent his 11 year career with a plethora of teams, most notably the Redskins and Lions.
The items offered here are a pair of receivers gloves used by Howard during his 2002 season with the Detroit Lions. These NFL issued gloves are black and gray, and feature NFL equipment shields on the back of each hand, with Howards number “80” inscribed in black Sharpie. These gloves show excellent use, with the palms heavily stained from the seven games Howard played in 2002. The incription for this item states the gloves were used during the 2003 seasons due to the PSA/DNA verification session taking place in February of 2003. This item comes with a PSA/DNA COA (1N07450).
