Hall of Famer Barry Larkin’s breakout year came in 1988 when he made his first of 13 all-star appearances. Making it even more special was making his debut all-star appearance in front of his hometown Cincinnati Reds’ fans as the 1988 All-Star Game was played at Riverfront Stadium. This all-red nylon snap-button size 44 jacket was worn by Larkin during the 1988 season. Originally made for prior to the 1987 season and manufactured by W. A. Goodman & Sons, but used by Larkin in 1988, this jacket features “CINCINNATI” sewn on across the front in white tackle twill. The collar and waist have a ribbed white and red pattern and the “1988 All-STAR GAME” patch is sewn on the right sleeve. The left sleeve has the Reds logo sewn on in red and white tackle twill. The size 44 W. A. Goodman tags are sewn on the inside back collar with number “11” hand written in black marker on the lower tag. This jacket displays moderate use and comes with a full LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
