Featured is a program guide from the 1949 All-Star Game between the American League and the National League. This game would take place on July 12, 1949 at Ebbets Field, Brooklyn, NY. The 1949 All-Star Game would be the first to include African American players in the roster such as Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella and Larry Doby. This would also be the only All-Star Game ever hosted in Brooklyn. This program guide is un-scored, however shows various signs of aging. The colors have begun to fade, and there is a tear long the spine of the guide that makes the front and back pages loose. Nevertheless, all pages are included and the rest of the program guide is in fair condition. A good addition to any vintage baseball collector!
