“Hammerin’” Hank Aaron is considered by many to be baseball’s true home run king. The owner of 744 career blasts, Aaron played the majority of his career for the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves. Aaron played for 23 seasons, making the All Star game in all but the first and last seasons of his career. Not simply a home run hitter, Aaron accumulated 3,771 career hits, good for third all time. Aaron was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1982 with his name appearing on 406 of 415 ballots.
The item offered here is a Hillerich and Bradsby commemorative Magnavox bat signed by Aaron. The bat was made in honor of his 715th home run. Aaron signed the barrel of the bat in silver Sharpie. Also on the barrel is a gold plaque bearing his engraved signature and information about the game he hit #715 in. This black bat is 34 inches long and comes with a PSA/DNA COA (AC41457).
