Presented here is a signed cut by the infamous Eddie Bennett who served as a batboy and mascot, most notably for the New York Yankees in the 1920’s. Bennett was considerably small due to an incident in his infancy. Because of his small stature Bennett was discovered by the White Sox and served as a sort of Good Luck charm to the team, allowing them to reach the World Series in 1919,( a game which several members of the team intentionally lost). Bennett would eventually find himself working for the New York Yankees, a team that would go on to win the World Series while Bennett served as their good luck charm. This cut features Bennett’s signature in blue ink. The cut shows some signs of aging but is in overall good shape. This item comes with a full LOA from JSA (Z11554).
