The Tigers marched through the playoffs, dispatching the Oakland A’s in a five game ALDS before sweeping the Yankees in the ALCS. However, the Tigers could not overcome the hot bats of Pablo Sandoval and the San Francisco Giants in a four game Fall Classic.
