This is a deluxe AROC (Artist Recreation on Canvas) Giclee, which is basically a normal Giclee that has been enhanced by the artist, Bill Lopa, by adding paint, makes each piece unique. An avid sports fan and die-hard Yankees fan, Lopa chose to concentrate his art on what he loved and in a genre he found both challenging and enjoyable: kinetic impressionism. Working in acrylics, Lopa uses a "splatter" technique where the colors are applied with a palette knife. The use of bold colors and splatter technique captures the image and spirit of an athlete in motion. The piece is signed in bold silver by Ron Turcotte, Steve Cauthen, and Jean Cruguet, the three living Triple Crown jockeys. Signed by Lopa in the lower right corner and numbered in the lower left corner "AROC 13/25". 32" x 40". Issue price was $2500.
