       Offered are two personal effects of boxing champion Floyd Patterson (1935-2006). Patterson won the gold medal as a middleweight at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki, Finland. Later, at the age of 20, he became the youngest man to capture heavyweight title honors. This lot offers two signed training gloves, both 16-oz., black leather Everlast sparring gloves are right-hand pieces, and both are signed, "Floyd Patterson," on the backs of the hands in gold ink. The gloves display heavy wear but remain intact with their original laces. These equipment pieces are accompanied by detailed LOA and provenance information from Patterson's widow. These gloves come with two LOAs from JSA (Y93964 & Y93965).
