Arguably one of the biggest bands, if not the biggest band of all time, The Beatles were the kings of Rock and Roll and catapulted to superstardom in the 1960s. Consisting of members John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, the Beatles had become world renowned as “Beatlemania” would become the term coined to describe the worldwide mass following of the legion of Beatle’s fans. The Beatles would go on to be among the best selling artists of all time, and enjoyed success until their break up in 1970.
Featured is their album “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”. Originally just a song of the same name, the Beatles expanded the song into a whole concept album revolving the fictional Lonely Hearts Club band. This album continued in the musical progression that the Beatles had shifted too, since their early work was primarily pop-influenced. Because the Beatles had discontinued touring, this album featured a continual experimentation for them as musicians, and laid the foundation to early progressive rock/psychedelia movement of the 1970s. This album would be released on June 1, 1967 and would become an immediate success, winning four Grammy’s and going on to sell over 32 million copies worldwide.
This album signed by one of the legendary and surviving Beatle members himself, Paul McCartney. He has signed the top of this iconic album in bold blue ink. This signed album comes with a LOA by Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
