The 1975 Boston Red Sox saw the emergence of future Hall of Famer Jim Rice and soon-to-be first ever Rookie of the Year and MVP in the same season Fred Lynn. “The Gold Dust Twins” helped lead Boston to the American League pennant, which included a three-game sweep of the three-time defending World Champion Oakland A’s in the ALCS. The only thing that doomed the 1975 Boston Red Sox was the Big Red Machine of the Cincinnati Reds, who needed seven games to defeat the Red Sox in what has been widely regarded as one of the greatest World Series of all time. 31 members of the 1975 Red Sox have signed this Special League baseball. Hall of Famers Carl Yastrzemski, Jim Rice and Carlton Fisk have signed their name in blue ballpoint pen. Other signatures on this baseball include Rico Petrocelli, Johnny Pesky, Fred Lynn, Bernie Carbo, Luis Tiant, Dwight Evans and several others. Manager Darrell Johnson and coach Don Zimmer’s names appear on this baseball, but have been deemed clubhouse signatures. This team-signed baseball comes with a full LOA from JSA (X32624).
