Featured is a Chicago Daily newspaper headlined American League Wins All-Star Game 9 – 7. This game, dated July 10, 1934 featured the American League vs the National league at the Polo Grounds in New York City. Starting pitcher Carl Hubell famously struck out Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Fox, Al Simmons, and Joe Cronin setting an All-Star record for consecutive strikeouts! This paper, dated the day after (July 11) covers this incredible game. This newspaper is in good condition, however features some sight tearing along the edges of the paper. All pages remain fully intact and fully legible. This newspaper features some of the comments behind the men that were struck out including Ruth, Cronin and more! This paper truly captured the magic behind one of the most notable All-Star games in history!
