Arguably the greatest switch hitter of all time, New York Yankees legend Mickey Mantle made a name for himself in the 1950s and 1960s. Mantle recorded 536 career home runs and had a consistent batting average of .300 or more 10 times, and along with Jim Thome is a leader in walk-off home runs. Mantle was a 20-time All-Star, a three-time MVP, a Triple Crown winner, a Gold Glove Award winner, and a seven-time World Series champion. The New York Yankees would retire his #7 in his honor and this photograph shows Mantle with the bat over his left and is signed by Mantle himself on the lower right corner in bold blue ink and inscribed “No. 7”. This picture stands 16 x 20 inches unframed and the photograph has some light tears on the left edge, but is minimal. The surface of the picture remains in perfect condition and this item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (S04092) who has graded this item a 10.
