Presented here in an original black and white photograph of baseball Hall of Famer Ernie Lombardi. Lombardi played catcher for 17 years and would be an All-Star for seven seasons. Standing at almost 6’3” and weighing well over 225lbs, Lombardi was noticeably a slow player, however had a batting average of.306 which more than made up for it. He would play in several teams throughout his career including: The Brooklyn Robins, The Cincinnati Reds, The Boston Braves, and The New York Giants.
This photograph depicts Lombardi in his Cincinnati Reds uniform. Lombardi has signed over this picture in black ink. This piece is both matted and framed standing 15 ½ x 18 inches. This item has been pre-certified by Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
