Magic and Larry. Undeniably, these two basketball legends will forever be tied to one another, forming one of the greatest rivalries in the history of sports, a rivalry that began when Michigan State – led by Johnson that defeated Bird’s Indiana State in the 1979 NCAA title game. Their one-on-one battles would dominate the NBA for the next decade, as the Lakers and Celtics combined to win an amazing eight championships during the 1980s. Johnson and Bird would later become teammates on the 1992 United States Olympic Dream Team. Included here are two separate 16 x 20 color photographs, one of them battling for a rebound and the other with the two of them separated by the Larry O’Brien championship trophy. Each of the photos have been signed by Johnson and Bird in blue ink and each photo has a COA from JSA (L99857 – Bird & Magic with trophy, L99882 - Game Action).
