This 711 page hardbound book is titles "Athletic Sports in America, England, and Australia" . The book is in amazing condition, and 460 of the 711 pages focus on baseball. Chadwick of course is a Hall of Famer and known as "the father of baseball." Also featured is a chapter called "portraits of baseball writers" which includes sketches and stories on Chadwick, and others. Incredible information is included, discussing the origins and history of the game, photos and illustrations of early teams, mention of all the 19th century Hall of Famers who were active at the time, and discussions about the pioneers of the game.
