This ticket was valid for the fourth edition of the Mid-Summer Classic. Held at Braves Park in Boston, this game pitted the stars of the American and National League against each other. The ticket features small portraits of National League President Ford C. Frick, American League President William Harridge, and Commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis. The National League emerged victorious from this game, defeating the American League squad 4-3. This was despite the best efforts of Lou Gehrig, who hit a solo home run in the midst of his MVP season. Lefty Grove started for the American League, while Dizzy Dean took the mound for the NL. This ticket has been encapsulated by SGC who have graded it authentic. Goldin Auctions will be donating 5% of the winning bid price of this lot and all lots in this auction to the Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum.
