     Some of the great Negro League ballplayers are represented in this multi-signed and multi-jersey lot. The first jersey is a replica button-down gray flannel Memphis Red Sox jersey that has been signed by 10 former Negro League players. The jersey has “MEMPHIS” across the chest in navy blue on red felt and a number “1” in navy blue on red felt on the back. The jersey had navy blue piping running down both sides of the buttons and twice around the collar. Signatures in blue include Verdell “Lefty” Mathis (signed twice), Frank “Wahoo” Pearson, Clinton “Casey” James, Bob Boyd (who inscribed “#12”), Double Duty Radcliffe, Felix “Chin” Evans, Cowan “Bubba” Hyde, Joe B. Scott (who inscribed “#28”) and Marlin “Pee Wee” Cartin (who inscribed “#10”). The jersey is a size large and made by Ebbets Field Flannels of Seattle, Washington.

     The second jersey is a replica button-down Philadelphia Stars gray flannel jersey with red piping on the sleeves, vertically down the center of the sleeves and around the collar and has a “baseball Centennial 1839-1939” patch on the left sleeve. “PHILA. STARS” are sewn on in red on black felt with the number “8” sewn on the back in the same red on black felt material. Seven players have signed this jersey in black ink. Signatures include Gene Benson, Mal Duckett, Larry Kimbrough, Al Wilmore, Stanley Glenn , Bill Cash and one unidentified player. The jersey is a size large and made by Ebbets Field Flannels of Seattle, Washington.

     The third is a replica button-down Philadelphia Stars off-white flannel jersey with red piping around the collar and down both sides of the buttons and on the sleeve ends. “PHILA. STARS” are sewn on in black on red felt with the number “8” sewn on the back in the same black on red felt material. 10 players have signed their names on the front of the jersey and include Bill (Ready) Cash, Jimmy Dean, Al “Apples” Wilmore, Gene Benson, Roy Welmaker, Joe Fillmore, Wilmer Harris, Mal Duckett, Stanley Glenn and Larry Kimbrough. There is no size or manufacturer’s tag on this jersey.

     The last jersey in this lot is an off-white button-down Hilldale Daisies jersey signed by Lou Dials in blue ink on the front of the jersey. The jersey features “Hillsdale” across the chest in navy blue felt cursive script with navy blue piping running around the collar and down both sides of the jersey. The number “3” is sewn on in felt on the back of the jersey. There is no size or manufacturer’s tag on this jersey. This entire lot has been pre-certified by Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
