This Person of the Year Award was presented to Arthur Ashe in 1993, the year that the indomitable tennis legend passed away due to complications from AIDS. This clear crystal bowl is six-sided, and is etched with “IRSA/The Association of Quality Clubs/1993 Person of the Year Award/To honor the life of/Arthur Ashe/whose indomitable spirit/is an inspiration to us all”. This bowl measures 7 ½ inches in diameter and 5 ½ inches high. This item comes with a LOA from University Archives.
