On September 24, 1957, the Brooklyn Dodgers played their final game at the fabled Ebbets Field, where they defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-0. Just two short years removed from their only World Series title, the Brooklyn Dodgers would relocate to Los Angeles the following season, along with the New York Giants, who moved to San Francisco.

Despite the team’s eventual move out west, the Dodgers were a dominant team from 1947 to the last season in Brooklyn in 1957. From that time, the Dodgers managed to win six National League pennants and one World Series title. If it were not for the cross-town rival New York Yankees, the Dodgers might have been baseball’s dynasty of the 1950s. Numerous Hall of Famers applied their craft at Ebbets Field, including Jackie Robinson, Leo Durocher, Roy Campanella, Sandy Koufax, Pee Wee Reese, Duke Snider, Dazzy Vance, Arky Vaughan, Lloyd Waner, Paul Waner, Zack Wheat and Hack Wilson.

Offered is a ticket stub from that final game of September 24th against the Pittsburgh Pirates. This orange stub with black and red print measures 1 ¼ x 2 ½ inches. The top of the stub has “ENTER GATE” in red with “Rotunda” in red. The location was in “BOX E58” “SEAT 3” and the face value of this ticket was “$3.00”. The “Dodgers” script is printed in red and “EBBETS FIELD” with “TUESDAY SEPT. 1957” and “24” are printed on the same line. The back of the stub has “RAIN CHECK NOT REDEEMABLE FOR CASH” with information on options should a game be cancelled. The ticket stub is in good condition with only minor edge and corner wear.
