Released in 1950, a year after Jackie Robinson won his National League MVP award, The Jackie Robinson Story tells the story from his early days when he was first introduced to baseball, to his being drafted into World War II and his eventual rise to the Major Leagues as the first African-American player. Robinson played himself in the move, with Ruby Dee as Rachel Robinson, Minor Watson as Branch Rickey and Billy Wayne as Clyde Sukeforth. The film received critical acclaim, despite the racial tensions of that era and also did well at the box office.

Offered is this unmarked baseball that has been signed by 18 participants of the The Jackie Robinson Story. Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson has himself signed this baseball in faded black ink on the side panel. Notable signatures include Frank Kelleher, Billy Wayne on the sweet spot, Gene Mauch, Fred Millican, Cliff Aberson, Pinky Woods, Eddie Chandler and several others. The baseball displays toning and has some dirt marks. PSA/DNA in its letter of authenticity has determined that many signatures are either unknown or unidentifiable. The PSA/DNA LOA number is (T06229).
