A 2004 inductee into the College Hall of Fame, Tony Casillas starred at the University of Oklahoma (under Barry Switzer), where he won Lineman of the Year honors and a national championship. He was even voted the Big Eight's Defensive Back of the Decade for the 1980s. The NFL brought more successes as Casillas won back-to-back world championships with the Cowboys. Dallas was on top of the football world again as they hammered the Buffalo Bills 52-17 in Super Bowl XXVII at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. It was the first Super Bowl victory for the Cowboys since winning Super Bowl XII in 1977. Offered is Casillas' very own 1992 Lombardi Trophy. It measures 16 inches tall and features a raised NFL logo on the engraved front panel: "VINCE LOMBARDI TROPHY / SUPER BOWL XVII CHAMPIONS / THE DALLAS COWBOYS." The side panel is engraved, "TONY CASILLAS / #75." There is tarnish over the front of the trophy. The signed LOA reads, "I, Tony Casillas, verify that this 1992 Dallas Cowboys Lombardi Trophy was awarded to me after defeating the Buffalo Bills 52-17 in Super Bowl XXVII and it is original. This trophy has been a part of my personal, private collection and it is 100% authentic including my signature shown below and free and clear of all Liens and Encumberances."
