With New York up three games to two over the Dodgers, the World Series swung back to Yankee Stadium. 56,000 fans in the stands watched Mike Torres hold the Dodgers to just nine hits as the Yankees bats came alive to crush Los Angeles and take the Championship. Thurman Munson, who deftly handled his pitchers the whole series, contributed a single, but it was Reggie Jackson who would always be remembered for muscling three home runs in the 8-4 win. The victory brought respectability back to a proud franchise who had had not won a World Series since 1962.

     These are the pants Munson wore during Game 6 of the 1977 World Series. Fortunately, Yankees pinstripes are almost as unique as fingerprints with the stripes lining up uniquely on each set produced.
