Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto wore this red alternate jersey on August 27th, 2015, during the Reds 1-0 home defeat to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Votto, the 2010 National League MVP, went hitless in this game, although he reached base in two of his four plate appearances after drawing walks. The game was a classic pitcher’s duel between Anthony DeSclafani of the Reds and Zack Greinke of the Dodgers. Greinke, the winning pitcher, lowered his ERA to a miniscule 1.61 after throwing seven shutout innings. Justin Turner scored the only run for the Dodgers, reaching home plate as Yasmani Grandal grounded into a double play.

This red button down jersey has the Reds wishbone “C” logo sewn on the left breast. Votto’s number “19” is sewn on the right breast and the back in white, red, and black tackle twill. “VOTTO” is sewn across the back shoulders in the same color of tackle twill beneath a MLB logo. A Mr. Redlegs patch is sewn on the left sleeve, while a 2015 All-Star Game patch is sewn on the right. White piping runs down the chest of the jersey and around the sleeve and collar openings. The underarm and sides of this jersey are made of red mesh. A Majestic size “44” tag is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. A Majestic Cool Base flag is attached to the left side. Votto signed the “1” digit on the back in black marker, adding the inscription “Game Used 2015” to his signature. This item is accompanied by a COA from PSA/DNA (AB66911) for the signature, and a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 953312).
