Presented here is a signed photograph of Muhammad Ali towering over a fallen Sonny Liston. This photograph is from their second fight, which was held in Lewiston, Maine. Ali and Liston had fought once before, with the unheralded Ali executing a shocking victory over the reigning heavyweight champion Liston. The second match was a quick and brutal affair as Ali scored a first round knock out on a punch so fast that the television cameras of the day did not pick it up. When Liston fell, the always brash Ali stood over him, exhorting the fallen champ to get up and finish the fight. Liston could not, and Ali walked away having defended his heavyweight title. This picture is in a 25 ½ x 22 inch frame and measures 16 x 20 inches. Ali has signed this photograph in silver marker. This item is accompanied by a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A81833).
