Offered in this lot are a catcher’s facemask, shin guard, and chest protector all autographed and game used by hall of famer Mike Piazza during his time with the New York Mets during the 2004 and 2005 seasons. All three pieces of equipment are black with royal blue outlines. Each item shows excellent game use and Piazza signed his name in silver marker on the shin guard and signed the back of the face mask in black marker on the tan padding and front of the chest protector in silver marker. The shin guard has an attached “Knee Saver” to ease the stress on the knee when crouching. The catcher’s mask is a bird cage model Rawlings LWMX that features a lightweight hollow frame cage. The Rawlings RCP model chest protector is foam padded with an extended throat guard. This lot comes with a LOA from JT Sports for the game use and a MLB Authenticated hologram (FJ594000) for Piazza’s autograph on the shin guard, plus individual STICKERS ONLY from PSA/DNA for his signatures on the chest protector and mask (4A10595 – Chest Protector & 4A10606 – Mask).
