Alex Rodriguez won his second of his three American League MVP’s in 2005 as hit he a league-high 48 home runs, with 130 RBI and a solid .321 batting average. Rodriguez hit two of those home runs during the Yankees 19-8 victory over the visiting Tampa Bay Devil Rays on April 18th, 2005. The first of his two home runs came in the second inning off of Rob Bell, and the second one was hit off of Lance Carter in the third inning and they were his 384th and 385th home runs of his career.

This Louisville Slugger P72 model bat was used on April 18th to hit the two home runs and it shows tremendous game use with cleat marks, ball marks and bat rack streaks. This all black bat has Mota stick on the handle and has been signed by Rodriguez in silver pen. The inscription reads “HR #3+4 Game Used 2005”, and a photo of the slugger signing this bat is reproduced on the LOA. This bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14621) and has been graded a perfect GU 10 and a signed LOA from Alex Rodriguez for the game use and signature.
