Presented here are three large banners celebrating University of Michigan Men’s Basketball conference championships won in 1927, 1948, and 1965. These banners hung in the Crisler Center, which is nicknamed “The House that Cazzie Built” in reference to Cazzie Russell, the star of Michigan’s 1964-65 NCAA Tournament runners-up team. These banners measure 109 x 56 inches each, and are blue with a maize felt border. “BIG 10 Champions” and the respective year of Michigan’s triumphs are sewn on each side of the banners in maize felt over a blue nameplate.
