Lee Smith was presented this watch in recognition of winning the National League Player of the Week Award honors for the week of June 29th, 1993. Smith was dominant in that period, converting all five of his save opportunities for the St. Louis Cardinals. In these games, all of which were played on the road, Smith shut down the Florida Marlins twice and the New York Mets three times. Smith was one of the best closers in baseball in 1993, accumulating 46 total saves while splitting his season between the Cardinals and the Yankees. This watch comes in its original presentation box as given to Lee Arthur Smith.
