Miguel Cabrera came off his history making Triple Crown season by almost duplicating his numbers in 2013. His .348 won him another league batting crown and 44 home runs and 137 RBI was second best in the AL. When the MVP votes were tallied Cabrera had don e what only Ted Williams, Joe Morgan and Albert Pujols had done before - won back-to-back MVP Awards. This offered bat was one of the ones the Tigers star used to get him that coveted second MVP trophy.

This SAM Bat MC1 model bat was used by Cabrera during the August 5th game at the Cleveland Indians. Cabrera went 1-for-4 in the game as his average at the end of the game was a lofty .349. This bat exhibits outstanding game use and is cracked on the handle when Cabrera grounded out in the third inning off of Indians pitcher Corey Kluber. The barrel is covered in ball marks and stitch impressions along with blue ink transfers and white leather ball scuffs. Cleat marks are evident and a heavy coat of Mota Stick is found on the mid and upper handle. The bat's factory specs are hand written in black ink on the barrel end. Cabrera's number "24" is hand written on both the barrel and knob ends. This bat comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK824176) which authenticates this bat’s use during the August 5th game and that it was broken in the top of the third inning.
